The 14th edition of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS), one of the world’s largest recurring virtual poker series, is well underway with its third event last week awarding one lucky player with over $76,000.

Offering 25 events and a total guaranteed prize pool of $16 million, the latest FTOPS kicked off on November 4 with a $216 buy-in no-limit hold’em six-max event while its main event will feature a guaranteed $2.5 million pot on November 15.

Online competitor ‘chrispeace’ took home $76,545 on Thursday after outlasting 728 others to win the no-limit hold’em three-times shootout tournament hosted by Full Tilt-sponsored professional Eric Liu. With a buy-in of $535, the event featured a prize pool of $364,500 while ‘JonEeeWhite’ claimed second spot and its $51,030 prize.

Third spot and $36,450 went to ‘THAY3R’ while ‘bastet2004’ claimed fourth for $27,337. Rounding out the final table was ‘buck99’ in fifth for $20,047, ‘MuckCMuckC’ in sixth for $14,580, ‘GnightMoon’ in seventh for $10,206, ‘jt3013’ in seventh for $6,925 and ‘Laurrra’ in eighth for $4,920.

There are still ten events left while FullTiltPoker.com is also running a Mini-FTOPS XIV series for players that cannot afford to buy-in to the main games. Like August’s FTOPS XIII tournament, the Mini series will run a few weeks after the main action, in this case from December 9 to 20.
